Worth having ready when you ring

  • What it is. Make, model and roughly how old. For a mower or a strimmer, the make and whether it has run at all this year.
  • What it is doing. The noise, the light, the smell, or the thing it will not do. When it started, and whether it happens hot, cold or over bumps.
  • Where it is parked. Your postcode, and whether it is a driveway, a road or a work car park. It decides what can be done on the spot.
  • The MOT sheet, if there is one. Read the failure items down the line and you will get a straight answer on each.
